St. Regis Hotels & Resorts has announced the opening of its 60th hotel, The St. Regis on the Bund, Shanghai. This marks a significant expansion for the brand, which is owned by Pacific Eagle Real Estate and is the second St. Regis property in Shanghai.

The new hotel’s location offers impressive views of the Huangpu River and the Pudong skyline. It is situated near the Bund Finance Center and just 17 kilometers from Shanghai Hongqiao Railway Station and Shanghai Hongqiao International Airport.

Designed by Norman Foster and Heatherwick Studio, the hotel’s architecture blends Art Deco influences with local cultural elements. Inside, guests can find 72 original artworks by renowned artists. The hotel offers 192 guest rooms, including 13 suites. Guests can also avail of the signature St. Regis Butler Service.

The hotel offers a variety of dining experiences, including the Celestial Court Chinese restaurant, the St. Regis Brasserie, which offers all-day dining, and The St. Regis Bar, which offers a unique cocktail menu. A new venue, The Drawing Room, is set to open later this year.

For relaxation, guests can use the St. Regis Spa, which blends modern skincare technology with ancient wellness wisdom. The hotel also offers a fitness center with 24-hour access and nearly 1,100 square meters of event space, including a grand ballroom and three function rooms.

“The Bund is a blend of Shanghai’s rich history and dynamic modernization, and the hotel aims to embody this along with the timeless elegance and impeccable service of St. Regis,” said Bart Buiring, Managing Director, Luxury, Greater China, Marriott International.
